Since 1998, Dr. Meyer has served the Los Angeles community as well as professional and collegiate athletes and teams from all arenas. Specializing in biomechanics and movement analysis, John utilizes functional exercise and manual physical therapy treatment techniques to rehabilitate a wide variety of orthopedic and sport related injuries at the Meyer Institute of Sport. Currently, Dr. Meyer is the Chairman of Performance, Health & Wellness for the Los Angeles Clippers as well as the Director of Player Health & Performance for the Los Angeles Kings. Prior to his current roles in professional sport John spent 15 years in the Department of Athletics at the University of Southern California serving a variety of roles including Director of Rehabilitation, Associate Athletic Director of Sports Science and Performance and Professional Sports Liaison for Keck medicine.
John is a Board-Certified Specialist in Orthopedics (OCS), a graduate of the Gray Institute of Applied Functional Science (FAFS). He has served as a Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Southern California in the Department of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy since 2000.
